The thing most families get wrong
The Assistive Devices Program does not pay for stairlifts
The 75% figure is real, but ADP covers mobility devices — wheelchairs, walkers, scooters — not anything attached to your house. Its own exclusion list names stair lifts, lifting devices, ramps and porch lifts. Plenty of retailers advertise “ADP funding available” anyway, and families lose weeks to it. The program that actually pays for a stairlift is HVMP, run by March of Dimes Canada.
